Silesian Heritage

GUIDO MINE: visiting the deepest tourist route in Poland. The tour of the Mine begins with a descent of an authentic mining shola to 320 m underground, from where you set off on an underground journey. The guides’ stories take you back to the beginning of the twentieth century. The route brings closer the working conditions of miners, including the dangers lurking underground, which you can almost “feel” on your own skin thanks to multimedia effects. Part of the route at the level of 320 m is covered by an electric suspended railway – it is the only mining railway of this type in the world open to tourists!

NIKISZOWIEC: a magical corner of Katowice – a mining estate unlike any other. 9 three-storey brick blocks, forming quadrangles with internal courtyards, where the inhabitants had at their disposal pigsties, storage rooms, etc. Interesting architectural finishes add to the charm.
